Ok ok ok, I know... I am absolutely the WORST at keeping up on this blog. I need to be better. I will honestly try to do MANY more updates, so here goes.
Since I updated this blog, MANY things have happened:
Chris and I purchased our first house! We absolutely LOVE IT! We now have 2700 sq ft for Max to run around in. Max's favorite thing to do is
run from his bedroom, through our kitchen singing and/or yelling at the top of his lungs. We have high ceilings now, so it's just more fun, I guess. He always loves to watch our mail be delivered right to our house. This is heavenly, I might add. No more PO Boxes for me! On Thursday, the hit of the morning is watching the garbage man dump all of our trash into the super cool dump truck. Max thinks, at least. Whatever makes the kid happy, right? :o) Max also loves to open and close the garage whenever we're coming or going. It's like a really fun game for him, so we'll let it continue. We don't have a fence around our yard yet, so Max can't have a little puppy friend of his own, but that's
ok.
Our neighbors have 2 dogs that are Max's size and h
e loves them. Max has also fallen in love with our friend's little girl Olivia. He prefers to call her Baby
Wivy (Livy) and he just gets all silly when he's around her. Yep, WATCH OUT LADIES! Livy was over one day and Max just kept stealing kisses from her. She didn't seem to mind. She's SUPER cute and I'm glad she can be friends with Max.
We moved to our awesome house at the end of November and we haven't been able to do much to our yard etc. This is due to the fact that right after we moved in, Chris had to go out of town on a business trip. The first day he was gone, we had a HUGE snow storm up here in
Saratoga Springs (30 miles outside of
SLC). WONDERFUL! {
dread} Max thought it was so fun to watch all the snow
falling, but what he didn't realize is that we had just moved to a house with our own driveway and we didn't even own a shovel. Not that I'd be out shoveling, pregnant and all, but we were nonetheless trapped in our house. All the neighborhood kids were outside shoveling their walks and I made our neighbor's son's day by paying him a whopping $5 to shovel my driveway. He was really excited to do it and I was able to leave the house, so we both won. I went to the store and bought Max a snow coat, snow pants, gloves, and boots. He was so excited that when we got home, he had to test out all his new gear. The neighbors to the back of us have a hill in their back yard and they invited Max to go sledding. He was a little afraid at first, but once he went down, he didn't want to stop. Even when all the kids went inside because they were freezing, Max was still ready to play. Since then, we've had lots more snow and we bought a shovel when Chris came back from his business trip in Ohio (9 days later due to poor weather). Now, Max and Chris shovel the driveway together and Max just loves it. He loves doing anything with his super cool dad - shoveling, doing anything with tools, and cooking. Max also has a new found love of watching (mostly) Disney movies. Right now, the movies at the top of his list (not all Disney) are:
- Wallace & Gromit
- Shrek
- Shrek 2
- Shrek 3
- Peter Pan
- Elf
- Cars
- Nemo
- Shark Tale
Just too many.... we have to rotate through them because I can't stand to watch them over and over in the same day. It doesn't bother Max, but c'mon!
Ok, so, I think that pretty much sums up what has happened up to Christmas. That will be the next update. Check back tomorrow.
Enjoy!!
