I created this blog so that all of our family and friends can see what our little family is up to, but mostly to see what Max is doing and how he's growing. You can write us comments as well as giggle at all the funny things Max does. Enjoy!!

New Website

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has looked at this blog to keep up with our silly Max. Since Cameron has joined our family, I've decided to make a family blog. Max's blog will no longer be updated, but it will stay up if you want to see the pictures. The new family site is mostly about Cameron, for now, but I will try to make it more FAMILY and not just all about Max and Cam. :o)

Enjoy.

Max and Dad

How cute is this photo? We've had TONS of snow at our new house and Max absolutely LOVES to help Chris shovel. Even when Chris has shoveled our whole driveway, Max doesn't want to come in. He's freezing, but he'd rather stay outside in the fluffy white stuff. So cute! *NOTICE* The snow is almost as deep as Max is tall... CRAZY!!

Baby Max

As Max and I were looking at some baby pictures, this video seemed to strike him as SUPER funny. Now he comes to me and says,"I wanna watch Baby Max." Just thought I'd share; it's rather cute. Oh, Max is 10 months old in this video.

Enjoy,
Jane

Cameron's Birthday

It's now official! We have selected the day to have Cameron join our family outside of the womb. Baby Cam will be born on February 27th at 1:00pm at St. Mark's Hospital. Yes, I'm having a C-Section, but I'm ok with that. I had one with Max, so it's all I really know - except, this time, there won't be any scariness or almost dying or anything like that. :o) We had the option to have Cam born on Leap Day, but I just thought that he'd get razzed and teased all his life. Even my doctor made a joke about it. SO, there you have it! Our family will go from 3 members to 4 on February 27th. I am still in extremely good health - great blood pressure, very small weight gain (7 lbs - can you believe it?), big tummy, and a very active Baby Cam.

Also, I didn't post my new address on the site just in case some random person was reading this blog that I didn't know. If you need my new address so that your address book is updated, please send me an email or leave a comment in this post.

Thanks so much,
Jane

I am the WORST!

Ok ok ok, I know... I am absolutely the WORST at keeping up on this blog. I need to be better. I will honestly try to do MANY more updates, so here goes.

Since I updated this blog, MANY things have happened:

Chris and I purchased our first house! We absolutely LOVE IT! We now have 2700 sq ft for Max to run around in. Max's favorite thing to do is run from his bedroom, through our kitchen singing and/or yelling at the top of his lungs. We have high ceilings now, so it's just more fun, I guess. He always loves to watch our mail be delivered right to our house. This is heavenly, I might add. No more PO Boxes for me! On Thursday, the hit of the morning is watching the garbage man dump all of our trash into the super cool dump truck. Max thinks, at least. Whatever makes the kid happy, right? :o) Max also loves to open and close the garage whenever we're coming or going. It's like a really fun game for him, so we'll let it continue. We don't have a fence around our yard yet, so Max can't have a little puppy friend of his own, but that's ok. Our neighbors have 2 dogs that are Max's size and he loves them. Max has also fallen in love with our friend's little girl Olivia. He prefers to call her Baby Wivy (Livy) and he just gets all silly when he's around her. Yep, WATCH OUT LADIES! Livy was over one day and Max just kept stealing kisses from her. She didn't seem to mind. She's SUPER cute and I'm glad she can be friends with Max.
We moved to our awesome house at the end of November and we haven't been able to do much to our yard etc. This is due to the fact that right after we moved in, Chris had to go out of town on a business trip. The first day he was gone, we had a HUGE snow storm up here in Saratoga Springs (30 miles outside of SLC). WONDERFUL! {dread} Max thought it was so fun to watch all the snow falling, but what he didn't realize is that we had just moved to a house with our own driveway and we didn't even own a shovel. Not that I'd be out shoveling, pregnant and all, but we were nonetheless trapped in our house. All the neighborhood kids were outside shoveling their walks and I made our neighbor's son's day by paying him a whopping $5 to shovel my driveway. He was really excited to do it and I was able to leave the house, so we both won. I went to the store and bought Max a snow coat, snow pants, gloves, and boots. He was so excited that when we got home, he had to test out all his new gear. The neighbors to the back of us have a hill in their back yard and they invited Max to go sledding. He was a little afraid at first, but once he went down, he didn't want to stop. Even when all the kids went inside because they were freezing, Max was still ready to play. Since then, we've had lots more snow and we bought a shovel when Chris came back from his business trip in Ohio (9 days later due to poor weather). Now, Max and Chris shovel the driveway together and Max just loves it. He loves doing anything with his super cool dad - shoveling, doing anything with tools, and cooking. Max also has a new found love of watching (mostly) Disney movies. Right now, the movies at the top of his list (not all Disney) are:
  • Wallace & Gromit
  • Shrek
  • Shrek 2
  • Shrek 3
  • Peter Pan
  • Elf
  • Cars
  • Nemo
  • Shark Tale
Just too many.... we have to rotate through them because I can't stand to watch them over and over in the same day. It doesn't bother Max, but c'mon!

Ok, so, I think that pretty much sums up what has happened up to Christmas. That will be the next update. Check back tomorrow.

Enjoy!!

Time Flies...

Oh my goodness! Is it almost Thanksgiving already??!! I guess I better get in gear and at least post Max's Halloween photo. For those of you that can't tell, Max was a lion. He would only pose for a couple of pictures that were taken at my dad's office. Each time I tried to take a picture while we were out and about, he would just turn away and try to eat all of his candy. At any rate, here's our cute lion:
